Gatherings & traditions
There's almost always something happening at Calvary. Here's what fills our calendar throughout the year.
Life at Calvary
More than a Sunday morning
We share meals, serve our neighbors, and mark the seasons together. Here are a few of the traditions that make Calvary feel like home.

Serving together
From shoeboxes for kids overseas to steak dinners for our neighbors — everyone has a part to play.
Operation Christmas Child
Our whole church — kids included — fills shoeboxes with gifts for children around the world.
Baked Steak Dinners
A Grand Rapids favorite. Neighbors pack the fellowship hall for a home-cooked meal that supports the church.
Christmas Bazaar
A silent auction, bake sale, lunch, and dinner to kick off the Christmas season together.
First Responders Appreciation
A service honoring the firefighters, medics, and officers who look after our community.
Blessing of the Backpacks
As a new school year begins, we send our students and teachers off with a prayer and a blessing.
Graduation Sunday
We celebrate our graduates, pray over their next chapter, and share refreshments after the service.
Seasons of worship
Marking the year together
Easter Sunday
We gather to celebrate the risen Christ and transform our cross with fresh and silk flowers brought by the congregation.
Christmas Eve
A candlelit evening service, with communion offered afterward for all who would like to stay.
Graduation Sunday
We honor our graduates, pray over their next chapter, and share refreshments together after worship.
