Who we are
Grand Rapids Calvary Church is a loving community of people who desire a deeper relationship with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and a deeper fellowship with all of God’s children. We see ourselves as one family under God.
When you walk through our doors, you’ll find a relaxed atmosphere. Dress is casual. Our worship blends the traditional hymns many of us grew up with and contemporary songs — a little of everything, so it feels like home no matter where you’re coming from.
We’re a small-town church in Grand Rapids, Ohio, and we like it that way. It means we notice you, we learn your name, and we’re genuinely glad you came. Throughout the year we gather for the blessing of the backpacks, teacher appreciation, our Christmas Bazaar, baked steak dinners, a first responders’ appreciation service, graduation Sunday, and so much more.
What we believe
Simple faith, held together
We don’t make faith complicated. It comes down to the God who made us, the Savior who redeems us, and the Spirit who stays with us.
God, our Father
We believe in one God, the Father of our family — Maker of heaven and earth, who loves and gathers His children.
Jesus, our Savior
We believe in His Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who suffered, died, and rose again for the forgiveness of our sins.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God — present with us, comforting, guiding, and drawing us together.

Come as you are
Dress is casual and the atmosphere is relaxed. There are no hoops to jump through — just walk in and find a seat.
Blended worship
Our music blends the traditional hymns you grew up with and fresh, contemporary songs — something familiar for everyone.
A place for the kids
During the children's sermon, the kids bring a mystery object and try to stump the pastor. If they do, they win candy — everyone loves it.
One family under God
We're a small-town church, which means people notice you, learn your name, and are genuinely glad you came.
